Ok aside from questioning Avarre's sexuality, do you find differences in a moderators personality based in the area he or she moderates? eg. Are Ventari mods cheap arses, Off-topic mods crazy or Riverside mods bastards.

I was quite happy being ban happy. I kept the forums clean. Those that didn't like it generally were the ones that made it bad.

Depends. If it was an understandable accident, but a violation nonetheless, I feel bad erasing their whole sell/buy/PC list. If it's someone who bumps early a dozen times and is a dick in their thread, I feel happy to remove all their hard work - more of a punishment than the ban itself.

I agree with Malice. Closing threads is fun. There are some that I try to be more lenient with, though, like a misplaced post. Theoretically, I shouldn't go easy on them, but I'm sure after I become a horribly jaded, crotchety old mod, I'll have no problem swinging the banstick at them.

I'm willing to allow just about anything in Riverside so long as it doesn't cross some rules. I'm not going to delete posts that flame Anet, or tell other users they're terrible at Guild Wars. As long as the language isn't too extreme and personal insults (IRL comments) don't come into it. I don't think you can have a heavily-modded Riverside due to the nature of discussion there.

Ventari, Campfire, and Glad's Arena need much harsher methods. The mods of these areas tend to reflect this (except Campfire because people slack there).

Agreed. Ventari is a whole different kind of animal. And I volunteered for this? Yeesh.

Haha yeah...good luck with that

Remember...don't take the soft route, just makes your life harder in the long run. Hit the newbies hard, makes them not want to do it again.

There's no crime in being a newbie in Riverside. There is, however, a crime in declaring yourself the most intelligent elitist PvE'er who knows everything about every part of the game and taking threads 50 pages longer with your discussion of GvG.

Those guys get banned. In the face.

The only people actually good at PvE (and by that I mean PvE build design, tactics, and clearing areas) are the hybrid players that play PvP. I've never seen someone who exists to contradict this. That means if you don't understand PvP balance and basic ideas, you're probably bad, and shouldn't be posting your opinion everywhere as gospel.

Wish I had gotten into GvG earlier, but Singapore timezone is really terrible for it when I can only play evenings most of the time.
